I Proposed

What is marriage without proposal? (fuh yohhhh)

Today I officially proposed to Jan. Eventhough it's already a known fact that we're getting married, but a proper proposal is still as important. I was never good at anything like this, but anyway it's a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, therefore I wouldn't want to live my life regretting it.

It was nothing spectacular, not that I have the time to plan for it anyway. I figured I had to get it done now, before I start to get even busier with work in the coming weeks.

So how did it all happened?
  1. Bought a bouquet of flowers (red roses + stargazer lilies) from Blooming.com in Midvalley ( apparently I was there to get some Chinese Renminbi :D )
  2. Reached home, parked my car and place the flowers in my car boot.
  3. Went in and pretended I left something in the boot, looking tired and worn out.
  4. Asked her to get my laptop from the car boot...and surprise surprise!!
  5. Followed her from behind, with the RING in my hand, and proposed to her at the door step, on my knees of course!!!
  6. I got to say, it was never what she expected. She was like "I thought you are gonna do it in front of all our friends??!!!"
  7. I responded with "Siao bo, pai seh la...I did it my way...want or don't want??" (my face getting red, biasalah)
  8. She insisted I do it again with the presence of our friends (macam saksi la I guess).
  9. After some sweet talk **wink wink**, she gave in. Drama ended with **hugs** and **kisses**
  10. Sekian terima kasih.

Pheewwwww. Told you I suck at it. Anyway, one down, more to come. Marriage is never easy these days. Lots of things to plan and carry out.

Penguin used to sing it when she's happy and going back hometown. Today I just feel like singing this.

"Yippie yai yai yippie yippie yai...!!!"

Ex Factor

Today I got the news that my ex was getting married. Not that it meant anything to me, but nevertheless it left me wondering, do you guys get invited to your ex's wedding dinner? Reason I'm asking, simply because I was not!

We're still friends (I guess), chat online once in a while, talked over the phone sometimes (God knows when was the last time :D) Although things were not really good the time we broke off, but we came to a mutual agreement soon after, that it was the best thing for both of us. And I was glad it actually happened.

Nah I'm not going to be bothered or sulk, simply because I was not invited. I wish her all the best moving into a new chapter in her life.

Cheers!

Updates

Exhausted but yet excited with the aggresive project I'm currently supporting in DHL! Imagine, Euro 2008 started a week ago, and last night was the first night I was able to sit down nicely and catch the game between Spain and Sweden! How pathetic! Thank God today is an off-day for me. Anyway, even with the hectic schedule and not to mention the demanding customers we have to support, I'm happy as I have a bunch of entertaining and nice colleagues working together.

I had to wake up at 6am every morning since last Sunday, and reached home at 9-10 pm every day. It's pretty taxing, but I get to meet lots of people and learn new things everyday. Will be based in Menara TM for one more week, before going to Beijing for another 2 weeks end of this month. Project timeline is kinda tight and what's more, it's being concurrently rolled out to few countries over the world. Luckily I will only be supporting Asian countries. Got a lot of travelling to do over the coming months.

This year will prove to be a busy year for me. Projects aside, I will be getting married! ROM is on 08/08/08, which I hope will not clash with the Taiwan Beta support. And the wedding reception will be held on 06/12/08 in Melaka.

Catch up and update you folks with the plans as and when it comes!
