Rottie Out On The Streets

Was outside my house the other day, taking a breather after an evening nap. And to my shocking surprise, I saw a rottweiler, yes a rottweiler, out on the streets, all by its own!!! Stray dogs are giving it a chase and barking, either disapproving it's presence on the streets, delighted to have a new straying friend to hang out with or rather they were alarming the public of the danger that rottie poses. I dunno.
To be frank, this has happened several times already. The owner of this rottie claimed that it has successfully escaped the house few times when they opened the gates. Mind you, they could have taken extra precautions, knowing very well they have 2 rottweilers within the house compound.
Rottweilers are known to be guard dogs. They have an aggresive nature, easily agitated, and they sure are a robust and powerful dog! If they are not properly trained since young, they might prove to be dangerous to passer-by, especially small children. Already there were lots of fatal cases involving rotties and children in the past.
I just hope that dog owners can be more responsible and don't let the public have a wrong perception towards our beloved dogs. In this case, thank God nothing has happened and fingers crossed, lets hope the owner will do something to prevent such cases from happening again.

Paris

Paris, my beloved female Toy Poodle. When I first got her, I was told she's a teacup poodle from Indonesia. Teacup poodles appear to be much smaller compared to toy poodles. Anyway Paris is now the size of a toy poodle, perhaps just slightly smaller than most of the toy poodles around. Guess we've been feeding her too much! LOL...

Ok why poodles?? Some of you might ask. Well first of all, poodles don't shed! All year round. Poodles and Schnauzers are the only 2 breeds that don't shed. For people who dislike sweeping, or waking up in the morning with sights of furs sticking all over your couch, like myself, these 2 breeds are just about the right ones for you, in addition to some other aspects you might want to look into when looking for a pet doggie.

Secondly, poodles come second in the list of the brightest breeds around. They are keen learners and they learn fast as well. In my opinion, poodles are a majestic breed that never fail to live up to your expectation, and no matter what happens or what sort of bad day they are having, they continue to entertain you in grand style. To date, Paris knows few tricks, including sit, down, hand, rollover, stand and walk (walking on 2 hind legs). Poodles are easily taught and they are more than happy to show you a trick or two.

In terms of companionship, I believe all breeds of dogs are great companions. As the saying goes "dogs are men's best friends." And poodles are no different either. Paris follows me and Janice wherever we go and whatever we do. She'll be sitting with us when we're watching TV, waiting in the kitchen when we're cooking, lying down and waiting outside when I'm in the toilet, and anxiously waiting under the dining table, waiting and wondering when the food will drop. LOL

Well, dogs being dogs, they have their naughty times. I will scold and whack her if she misbehaves sometimes. But mummy doesn't. That's why she's closer to mummy. LOL

For those looking for pet doggies, POODLES are certainly highly recommended. Cheers.

Below are few of Paris' pictures. Enjoy!

Sony Ericsson K800i

Can't believe I've gotten myself a SE K800i phone. I've been telling myself to be content with my Samsung D410c, the first ever slide phone I bought about 2 years back, but what can I say. Well I believe, from time to time, there's a need to pamper ourselves with something which we have set our eyes on. Moreover it will be long till I get another gift since my birthday is still months away. Hiaks~~*

I had a few models in my wishlist at the very beginning. Narrowed them down to the final 2. Been having two minds since, contemplating on whether to get SE K800i, or to go for the latest Nokia N73, which costs more. Finally I went for K800i after much consideration.

My first impression on the phone is that, it simply looks nice, sleek, compact, versatile and most importantly, it comes with a Sony Cyber Shot digital camera, which impresses me a lot. Now I can take good quality pictures whenever there's a need to. I'm sure we don't carry our digital cameras with us all the time, but somehow in handphones, we do.

Here are some of the overview for K800i, taken from Sony Ericsson website.

Key features:

Xenon flash - real photographic light
BestPic™ - pick the best, delete the rest
3G - high speed Internet services
Music and video player
PictBridge compatible - easy photo printing
Cyber-shot™ 3.2 megapixel digital camera with autofocus
Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™) support

"A Cyber-shot™ digital camera and a small and sophisticated feature-packed 3G mobile phone all in one. Open the lens cover and you're ready to take the picture. Bring the K800i with you and you have a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, built-in xenon flash and image and video stabilizer function ready for any moment, anytime. And a 3G phone for sharing your pictures. Instantly.

With the K800i, it’s hard to take a bad picture. Get the picture you want with BestPic™. The unique thing about this feature is that 4 of the resulting images were shot immediately before the camera key is pressed to complete the shot, and 4 immediately after. Pick the best. Delete the rest.

A built-in xenon flash unit gives you real photographic light where lighting conditions are not optimal and K800i eliminates red eye making sure that the pictures you take are simply the best. A camera stabilizer function compensates any small movement of your hand when you’re taking a picture and shooting video.

When you’ve taken a photo, you can share it straight away using Bluetooth™, multimedia messaging or blog it. Take a photo add text and send it to a blog site. The site is created the first time you blog a photo and in return get a text message with the Web address and log in data. Send the address to friends and share your life in pictures.

The K800i has a fully fledged digital music player. Play your favourite music wherever you go. Organise your tracks and create playlists."

Below are the actual stuffs that come together in the package, and some pics of my new baby.

Poor Comical England

A game many thought would have been an entertaining one, a Croatia side who have never lost a competitive match on home soil, and an England side looking to prove critics wrong after a lacklustre display against Macedonia in Old Trafford. One soft goal and another comical own goal summed up the whole disappointing evening and the first England defeat under Steve McLaren.

I purposely slept early last night just to catch this game. And guess what, I went back to sleep after the second Croatia goal, even before the match ended, swearing and cursing at how poor England were made to look.

The game left me wondering, are England world class or not? Well sincerely I think they are still a force to be reckoned. The major issue for the England team is the collective loss of form. Over the last half-dozen games, it would be difficult to name one maybe two players who have played to their ability for England.

I just hope England can wake up and buck up. It's still a long road ahead towards Euro2008. Come on Three Lions!
